if i had to choose, i’d prefer radar love: it’s modern and slightly toxic which describes most of my relationships with the opposite sex.
I never thought of it quite like that, but that’s a pretty good description! ~Tim

Golden Earring is a fantastically underrated band; the video for “Twilight Zone” made such an indelible impression on my early adolescence that. . .well, never mind.
But “Muskrat Love”? Really? Even though the Captain wore a festive hat, it’s not enough to redeem that song.
What — you have something against muskrats? Do you remember Michael Jackson’s song Ben? Would that have been a better choice? ~Tim

“Ben” is even worse. I was only one when it came out, so I have no real quibbles with it.
I just hate “Muskrat Love.” I think Dave Barry has a whole chapter in his Book of Bad Songs, somewhere between Gary Puckett and “MacArthur Park.”
Good times!
But it took so long to bake it, I’m not sure if I can make it…. Hey take that back about Gary Puckett! ~Tim
