In the hall after school recently I passed a group of students and heard one of the guys say to one of the girls:
Your ass looks fat in those jeans. I love it!
I was already thinking, “Oh, you’re going to be in such trouble…” when his final comment changed my mind. Maybe he said “phat”? Do kids still say “phat”?
Someone else pointed out to me that this year of the Rat on the Chinese calendar is SO appropriate to this being a presidential election year in the U.S. Hah!
For weeks I passed a building on the way home from work that had a sign in front that said, “THIS BLDG FOR SALE”. And every time I saw it I thought it said, “THIS BLOG FOR SALE”. Really. [If only I had taken a photo....]

I hope he meant “fat” and thought that a good thing. Sometimes I want to walk down the hallway and hand out sandwiches to the girls..soooooo skinny!!!
Careful. Some litigious parent is likely to consider handing out sandwiches to be harassment. ~Tim

Take a picture next time of the sign. And yeah, rat is fitting.
Would you believe… the sign is gone now! ~Tim

Actually, I think big butts are in now. In fact butt implants are a new thing in plastic surgery. 20 years ago when I looked at my butt in the mirror I would think “I hope it isn’t too big.” Now I look in the mirror and I think ” I hope my butt is round enough!”
I suppose that beauty is in the brown eye of the beholder…. ~Tim

Tragically, “phat” seems to have made a return to the lexicon. We can blame Kimora Lee Simmons, most likely.
Well, as long as we know who to blame…. ~Tim
