I am extremely grateful to those men and women that have volunteered to serve our country in the armed forces. However, I think that our leaders have placed them in an untenable situation. And the arrogance of those leaders is deeply disturbing.

Let's do Something Cheap and Superficial 
This is what always happens when anti-intellectualism rules the day and when logic fails to apply. We see it in our individual workplace, too–decisions are made “because they’re right” with little big-picture reasoning.
And he just stands there as though everything is going according to plan. . .the past two terms have been disastrous.
You mean, “because they’re right” isn’t logical or reasonable? ~Tim
One of the paraprofessionals, assistant teachers, at work leaves for Iraq next week. He actually got married before he left too. We had a party for him in the break room. I think my school did more to honor him than anyone who actually makes the decisions that requires him to be there though.
