Here’s another crush story. [I would preface this with, "Don't judge me," but I know you already have....]
I have a celebrity crush. Well, I have lots of them — no big surprise — and they are more and more often age-inappropriate [which is both no big surprise and a story for another day.] The earliest of my celebrity crushes that I remember also happens to be the one that has been the longest-lived. I don’t obsess as much as I used to, but still….
I was about 12 years old when she hit the scene in the U.S. and I am was smitten. Over the next decade or so I bought the albums. I bought the posters. I saw her in movies and in concert. I was mellow. I was honest. I never played B-17 on a jukebox. I didn’t stop believin’. She was totally hot. She got physical. I was hopelessly devoted… for a while.
I don’t still buy every album but I do give an occasional listen. I don’t buy Australian bath products, but I support health-care and environmental causes. And I am still smitten with Olivia.

Let's do Something Cheap and Superficial
Wow, I had one on her, too.
(Confused childhood, still ongoing.)
It’s always hard to forget your first. Mine was Sean Astin in The Goonies.
There is nothing more adorable than a guy with a crush.
