Betty, Mary Ann, and Bailey
Everything happens in threees. I think.
The WGN America cable station is running episodes of WKRP in Cincinnati as part of its Outta Sight Retro Night Sunday lineup. In some of the promos they went on the streets to ask, “Bailey or Jennifer?”

They referenced the much older pop-culture question, “Ginger or Mary Ann?”

I remember thinking, “I wish I could think of the third part to this so I can write about it.” It completely eluded me though. Until, that is, Dogs and Jeans jogged my memory by announcing that Archie has finally made his choice between Betty and Veronica. [I knew there had to be a third!]

And [as if I really had a choice] all of these were easy decisions for me.

soooo….you like the good girl.
why did Archie have to choose? i have two thoughts on that whole thing…
1) as a fan of the Archie comics, i say he should never choose…part of the fun is the competition between Betty and Veronica.
2) as a “feminist”, i say who the hell cares who Archie chooses? the whole construct seems to be that Betty and Veronica wait on pins and needles while Archie makes his choice. what about betty and veronica’s choice? maybe they want Jughead or Reggie or each other or no one…

It’s interesting to see how much more natural-looking those “sexy ladies” were back then as compared to now.
