Wow.. Hidden Lake is "breathtaking". I was thinking of that same word. It looks like a painting. How do you get so close to the mountain goat w/o getting gouged?

I'm planning on a large-format print of Hidden Lake. It's my favorite landscape photo of the trip. The goat stepped onto the trail right next to me and I thought for a second I had gotten too close. But it turned away and kept walking. That means I got this one good shot of the face and a little video of its backside as it walked away from me on the trail. ~Tim

my sister says it is the most beautiful place in the world (she works there and worked there last summer too.) technically, she hasn't seen the whole world but she says she doesn't have to know how beautiful it is.

It is a beautiful place. I'm reserving judgment on whether it is the most beautiful at least until I see more of the rest of the world. ~Tim

Wow--that picture of hidden lake is breathtaking. And to see snow in July is pretty awesome!

Glad you had a good time and didn't fall off a cliff.

Thanks. Parts of the Highline Trail were a little scary but well worth it. ~Tim
